Travelers should prepare to think through the following tips WAY before booking a flight. As a Traveler in 2020 PC (Post-Covid), you should adhere to pandemic-specific guidelines around health and safety. With so much uncertainty circulating, the future of travel can change instantly and dramatically.
In that case, read the fine (and big) print on everything! This Is what every traveler in 2021 should be doing way before booking a flight.
Air Travel
If you are preparing for a trip that requires air travel, then take the time to familiarize yourself with your airlines’ COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.
Even though you may keep a close eye on the news in which you may already know most of the rules, you may still want to visit your airline’s website. To be thorough, browse the TSA site prior to your departure too.
Preferably, we recommend you read the guidelines and policies before packing your bags. Don’t guess what it may state, just read them before leaving for the airport, so you can be sure about the airport security rules and restrictions.
Pack with Care
As you prepare for your trip be sure to pack with care. In this uncertain and fast-paced world, we are constantly seeing things change and updating.
With the pandemic steamrolling ahead, it’s extremely important that we are conscious about our choices, including what we pack for our trips.
Besides the usual items, such as clothing, toiletries, and electronics, pack:
- Extra face masks
- Plastic bags
- Small ziplock bags
- Bottles of hand sanitizer
- Hand sanitizer wipes
- Vitamins (i.e. Emergen-C)
- Wet wipes
- Clorox wipes
Snack with Care
Buy AND eat all snacks that you may want or need to eat ahead of time, but not at the airport.
Gone are the days to sit comfortably at an airport restaurant, maskless, and chomping down on some good eats. Now, with the world wearing masks and keeping to a safe physical distance, snacking doesn’t seem worth the risk.
This is way more important than avoiding the inflated prices at the airport (because that’s advisable too). Like packing, snacking with care requires more thought and planning than previously before.
As for water and drinks, you will want to buy them at the airport.
If you decide to eat at the airport, the sanitary items you packed will prove beneficial.
