This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.

Now, I’m in week three of my journey to a healthy Adriana, and I’m realizing my stubbornness, or rather my steadfast belief in biased and unproven health and dieting “facts.”

Based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night.

One change that I’ve made since reading Joel Marion’s book, Always Eat After 7PM, has been skipping breakfast. The horror! This would be considered blasphemy a year ago, but committing to fasting in the morning has allowed me to regulate my hunger. Before, I would obsess about food during the day. While I was eating, I would think about what I was going to eat for the next meal. And, if I wasn’t satisfied, I would do the infamous stare-in-the refrigerator-until-the-food-I-want-appears. But, it never did.

I’ve learned that the most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis.

Basically, I’ve taken control of my hunger, rather than let hunger overpower me.

Additionally, I have set out to make small changes to my meals and my water intake. I have a love-hate relationship with water, yet throughout this journey, I’ve taken a new approach as Joel describes it in his book: “One of the simplest 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Rituals, lemon water in a glass of water mixed with the juice of one half of a lemon. This drink provides all the benefits of regular drinking water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function.”

One of the first things I do when I wake up is grab a glass of water and a lemon, squeeze it into the water, mix it and drink. It’s refreshing and energy-boosting. At the same time, I’ve already drunk 8 ounces of water toward my daily goal. It’s the small things that count and that will ultimately make me healthier and help me reach my weight loss goal.
